FAQ
Continuous DDoS Vulnerability Audit questions
Answers to common questions from security and infrastructure leaders.
What is the Continuous DDoS Vulnerability Audit?
It is a controlled, authorised DDoS testing service. We map your exposed attack surface, simulate multi-vector attacks from distributed test bots, measure how your services and upstream protection respond, and issue a DDoS Resilience Score with tailored mitigation recommendations. Repeating the audit lets you track resilience over time.
Is it safe to run DDoS tests against live services?
Tests run only against assets you own or are authorised to test, inside agreed windows and bandwidth limits. Attack Surface Mapping is non-disruptive, baseline and post-attack health checks bracket every scenario, and your ISP or mitigation provider can be informed in advance.
How is the DDoS Resilience Score calculated?
Each scenario is scored from 1 to 10 by comparing average response time before and during the attack, with recovery time measured afterwards. The overall score averages all scenarios. Scores of 8 to 10 indicate high resilience and scores below 3 indicate weak resilience.
Which attack types are simulated?
We select from 120+ techniques across the application, transport and network layers, including HTTP(S) floods, Slowloris, SSL floods, TCP SYN/ACK/RST floods, UDP and fragmented floods, and ICMP-based attacks, chosen from what the mapping discovers.
How big a test do I need?
Standard packages are sized by concurrent test bots and simulated throughput, from 50 bots at 3 Gbit/s up to 4,000 bots at 240 Gbit/s, each with a 60-minute test window. Larger or longer scopes, such as overnight windows, can be agreed on request.
How do I start?
Email info@trezbon.com or call +971-56146 5956. We scope the assets, agree the test windows and authorisation, and issue a clear Service Description Document before any traffic is sent.
